Naburn Trust Hut

We would love to re-open Audrey's self-service Trust Hut as soon as the weather warms up a bit. Hot and cold drinks, fruit, and fruit cakes available - pay as you feel. It's even better when it is staffed but our previous volunteers have had to stop so if there are any  would-be baristas out there, let us know.

New funding

A generous grant from Dringhouses and Woodthorpe councillors enabled us to purchase a cordless  electric strimmer and hedge trimmer. The paths are getting overgrown and we are looking to Good Gym and York Cares to join us again over the next few months. We are taling with St Nicks to borrow their scythe mower from time to time. We are waiting for improvements to the access f rom Tadcaster Road as part of the councils contract there.

Our generous funding from Naburn to look after the path alongside Naburn Lane clear the bins near Vicarage Lane has been renewed for 2024

20/Jun/22 - Gateway Sculptures

The Railway to Greenway project officially ended in September withthe creation of Gateway sculptures at either end of the SSG. These were designed and manufactured by the same team that created the Solar System. Sustrans  installed one at the Riccall end while volunteers from Netwok Rail helped us at the Park and Ride end.

We continue to develop and extend the website through new links with the Friends of the National Railway Museum
